This project involved the creation of a type specimen book that aimed to enhance the Plantin typeface, an old-style serif typeface that was created in 1913 by the British Monotype Corporation. The subject matter that I chose was pasta stories, various shapes and recipes. Plantin produces a dark, rich texture suited to editorial and bookwork; it sets a sense of gravity and authenticity.
